Russian Woman Behaves Inappropriately in Yerevan, Destroys Hotel Property and Attacks Medical Staff
On July 5, an incident of hooliganism occurred in Yerevan. Around 4:20 AM, the Central Division of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information about a girl behaving inadequately under the influence of something at the "Ani Plaza" hotel located at 19 Sayat Nova Street.
According to Shamshyan.com, officers from the Central Division of the police discovered that the individual in question had broken hotel property, shouted obscenities, and displayed a blatant disrespect for society before she entered the building of the Central and Norq Marash investigatory divisions of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia on Khanzhyan Street 43, jumped over a fence, and fell to the ground.
To provide medical assistance to the individual, the police officers called an ambulance crew. After examining the woman, the ambulance team deemed it necessary to transfer her to the "Armenia" medical center with a preliminary diagnosis of "Exogenous poisoning."
After the ambulance began to move, the woman opened the door of the vehicle on Sayat Nova Avenue, escaped from the ambulance, and ran towards the "Gold" hotel.
Shortly thereafter, around 5:35 AM, operational information was received at the Central Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that a Russian woman had entered the mentioned hotel, was yelling loudly, and behaving strangely before leaving.
Officers from the criminal investigation division of the Central Division arrested the woman at 6:00 AM on suspicion of hooliganism on Sayat Nova Avenue and took her to the Central Division, where it was revealed that the individual was 33-year-old Ekaterina Portnova, a citizen of the Russian Federation.
The ambulance doctor informed the police that during the transfer to the hospital, Y. Portnova had verbally assaulted them and physically attacked both herself and another member of the team, causing bodily harm.
Documents regarding the incident were prepared at the Central Division of the police and transferred to the investigatory division of the Investigative Committee for the Central and Norq Marash administrative districts of Yerevan.
Note: The suspect in the alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the criminal procedure code of the Republic of Armenia, by a legally enforceable court decision.
