What is the Main Cause of Hospitalizations Among Children: Ministry of Health Clarifies

Falling from heights is the leading cause of hospitalizations among children under 5 years old. The Ministry of Health has reported this.

“Dear parents, ensure your child's safety: keep windows closed and locked when children are in the area. If possible, open windows that are inaccessible to children for ventilation. Window nets cannot prevent a child from falling; do not let your child lean on the window net and do not rely on it as a protective layer. Keep furniture or anything children can climb on away from windows. Organize your child's rest and play area as far away as possible from open windows or balconies. Under no circumstances should you loosen your attention on your child, and never leave a child alone in a room without supervision. Remember that barriers cannot replace parental supervision of children,” the statement read.
