Western Grants Coming to Armenia Have Significantly Decreased in the Last Year: 'Pasta'
The newspaper ‘Pasta’ reports that according to its information, the ‘western grants’ coming to Armenia have significantly decreased in the last year, particularly after January.
Moreover, despite the fact that Nikol Pashinyan and his team continue to ‘express love’ to the West, the same West is clearly showing that it has no significant interest in Armenia concerning various programs, especially since this government has largely failed previous projects.
They clearly demonstrate that, overall, their only concern is to push Russia out of the region through Nikol Pashinyan and the directly governing forces. Additionally, our sources indicate that the efficiency of organizations that have been funded by their grants over the years has been a source of considerable dissatisfaction in the West.
Although anti-Russian sentiments are far from absent, they are considered insufficient in the West, as the overwhelming majority of the public is against Pashinyan's policy of ruining partnership relations with Russia. Accordingly, the flows of western grants have also significantly diminished in this direction.
According to the newspaper’s information, the authorities have applied to the Armenian representatives of two funding organizations twice this year to allocate funds to several NGOs for various projects, but those funds have not been allocated. It is true that there was no direct refusal, but it was made very ‘elegantly’ clear that at this moment they do not find it appropriate to allocate funds for such issues.
