Concrete Divider Wall Being Built 50 Meters from the School in Kiran
A concrete divider wall has already risen on the road in Kiran, which has been out of service since yesterday. The work continues, reports Azatutyun.
Yesterday, the Road Department announced that the highway passing through the village of Kiran is temporarily closed due to road construction work; however, instead of reconstructing the road, a wall is being built on it. This wall, three meters high, continues the separation from the territory that has become Azerbaijani, cutting off the former road and soon becoming a border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Since yesterday, traffic from Ijevan towards the Armenian-Georgian border has been redirected through a bypass road via the neighboring village of AcharKut, which is already asphalted. Simultaneously, a new road passing through Kiran is also under construction.
