This is a Provocation: Maria Zakharova
Accusations from Kyiv regarding strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine are yet another provocation aimed at Russia. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a broadcast on Sputnik.
"This is a provocation that the Kyiv regime has resorted to, supposedly finding grounds to accuse the Russian Federation of attacking civilian facilities. This is not true," noted the diplomat.
Previously, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, had stated that a hospital in Kyiv was damaged on July 8 as a result of a Ukrainian armed forces shell landing. The Kremlin representative called for attention to be focused on the statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
He added that the Russian Armed Forces do not strike civilian facilities.
It is worth noting that on the afternoon of July 8, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the "Okhmatdet" children's hospital in Kyiv was under missile attack. The medical institution is located in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.
