It Was Putin's Message to the World, People, NATO States, and Our Allies: Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the Russian missile attack that destroyed parts of the "Okhmatdyt" children's hospital is nothing less than Putin's signal to the entire world that he will continue to act this way.
"The missile hit right at the hospital, and this is not the first time," Zelensky said.
When asked if he believes this was a signal from Putin ahead of the NATO summit, the Ukrainian president replied, "Yes, it was his signal."
"This is his message to the world, to people, a signal to NATO states, to all our allies. It is a signal that he will act this way," Zelensky stated.
The country's leader also emphasized that, as a father, the attack on the children's hospital is a highly sensitive issue for him: "I am a father, I am a president, I am a human being, and it is very difficult to lose people, very difficult to lose children," he said.
"And you see these people, these parents, when their children die, at that moment you want to kill Putin, and all of us want that very much, because, in fact, it seems to me he doesn't care what happens," Zelensky concluded.
