Biden Responds to Trump’s Debate Proposal
U.S. President Joe Biden has responded to his election rival Donald Trump’s proposal to hold another debate this week. In a statement released via a spokesperson, he rejected the proposal, according to the Daily Mail.
“Instead, we challenge Donald Trump to create jobs. Under his watch, 3 million jobs went away. We challenge Trump to stand up to Putin, yet he has bowed before him. We challenge Trump to uphold the law, but he breaks it. We challenge Trump not to destroy our country, which is exactly what he is preparing to do in his 2025 plan,” the U.S. president stated.
At the end of the announcement, it is noted that “Biden doesn’t have time for Trump’s strange antics as he is busy leading the U.S. and defending the free world.”
It is worth noting that Trump had proposed another televised debate this week, emphasizing that Biden had suffered the most crushing defeat in the history of presidential debates during their June 27 encounter.
“But don’t feel sorry for Biden, he is a very bad guy. Today, I officially offer Joey a chance to save himself in front of the whole world. Let’s have another debate this week so Sleepy Joe can prove to everyone in the world that he is capable of being president,” Trump stated.
Recall that the presidential elections in the U.S. are scheduled for November 5. Discussions about replacing the sitting president with another candidate have intensified following Biden’s disastrous performance in their first televised debate.
