Fuel Stations and Oil Storage Facility Operations Halted in Yerevan, Aragatsotn, and Kotayk Regions

The State Inspection Committee of Armenia conducted inspections based on the directives of the head of the State Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspectorate. The inspections focused on several facilities: an oil storage facility operated by "M1 OIL" LLC located at 47/13 Ashtarak highway in Yerevan, a gas station operated by an individual entrepreneur at 1 Shahumyan St. in Charentsavan, Kotayk region, and a gas station operated by "Jakhkank" LLC at Sasnashen village in Aragatsotn region, along with another gas station operated by an individual at 21 Spandaryan St. in Talin city, the same region.

The State Urban Development and Fire Safety Inspectorate reported that during the fire safety investigations, the facilities were found to violate fire safety regulatory documents, creating a direct threat to fire outbreaks and the safety of individuals.

Inspections were also conducted on "PRIDE 888" LLC's facilities located at 13/3 Main Highway in Zovk village, Jrvej community of Kotayk region. They examined 10 accumulators installed on a "ZIL-130" vehicle with state number 34 DM 456 and another 10 accumulators on a "ZIL-130" vehicle with state number 35 DA 591 to ensure compliance with technical and fire safety norms for methane gas vehicle refueling.

Fire safety experts determined that the above-mentioned accumulators were not registered as a hazardous production facility in the registry of hazardous production facilities as required by law and had not undergone technical safety expertise. Therefore, taking into account the violations of regulatory-technical document requirements and the risks associated with fire and technical safety requirements, the State Inspection Committee decided to fully suspend operations at the aforementioned five facilities. They have been sealed in cooperation with the State Compulsory Enforcement Service of Armenia.
