Four Killed and 20 Injured in Belgorod Region Within One Day
In the past day, four people have been killed and 20 injured due to attacks in the Belgorod region, according to a report from regional head Vyacheslav Gladkov on a Telegram channel.
“Four civilians have died, and 20 people have been injured, with 17 remaining in healthcare facilities; two of them are in critical condition,” said the governor.
Gladkov noted that approximately 160 residential units, 60 houses, and about 140 vehicles were damaged as a result of the attacks.
On the night of July 8-9, the regional leader repeatedly reported shelling, primarily affecting the Shebekinsky and Grayvoronsky districts, as well as Belgorod itself.
Gladkov also mentioned that a private residential building in the Prilessie village of the Krasnoyaruzhsky district was completely destroyed due to a kamikaze drone attack. Previously, Gladkov reported that air defense forces had intercepted several aerial targets approaching Belgorod. One person was killed in that attack, and two others were injured.
In the Rodionovo-Nesvetay region, Rostov region governor Vasily Golubev discussed a fire that broke out at a power plant due to a drone attack, stating that the process of extinguishing the fire could not be initiated immediately, only after the demining of the platform near the substation.
Golubev added that there were no casualties.
Another fire was reported in the Volgograd region due to drone attacks, as mentioned by regional administration citing Governor Andrei Bocharov. Fragments of the drone fell and caused fire at a substation in the city of Frolovo and an oil depot in the town of Kalach-na-Donu. According to the administration, the fire has been extinguished and did not pose a threat to residential properties.
