Court Finds Levon Eranosyan Guilty but Applies Amnesty

In the Anti-Corruption Court, chaired by Judge Vardges Sargsyan, the verdict regarding former Deputy Chief of Police Levon Eranosyan was announced today. According to the ruling, Levon Eranosyan was found guilty; however, the court did not impose imprisonment, referencing the amnesty granted in 2018 and the statute of limitations.

It is noteworthy that there are four defendants in this criminal case: Vladimir Gasparyan, former Deputy Chief of Police Levon Eranosyan, former head of the Internal Audit Division of the Police Vardan Tunyan, and former commander of the police troops Gurgen Grigoryan. They have been subjected to a condition of pre-trial release with a signature not to leave.

Criminal charges have been filed against Gasparyan for abuse of official powers, committing official forgery, and large-scale embezzlement.
