Accident in Zaporozhye: Minibus Collides with Freight Train, Casualties Reported

An accident involving a minibus in the Zaporozhye region occurred due to a collision with a freight train, resulting in the deaths of 5 individuals, as reported by the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry on their Telegram channel.

"The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry reports that a freight train and a minibus collided in Zaporozhye. There are injured people. The accident took place on the railway network near the village of Novobogdanovka. The minibus was carrying 7 people. Emergency workers have freed everyone and handed them over to doctors. According to preliminary data, 5 people have died. One passenger and the driver have been hospitalized," stated the report.

It was noted that 15 specialists and 4 units of equipment from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry were working at the site. Earlier, Andrey Sigutan, head of the Melitopol municipal district administration, reported on the incident, which involved a minibus heading towards Crimea, confirming the death of 5 people and hospitalization of 2 others.
