Telegram Fined 3 Million Rubles
The Tagansky District Court in Moscow has fined the messaging platform Telegram 3 million rubles for failing to remove information related to anti-government activities, as reported by TACC.
According to the court's ruling, "The court has decided to find Telegram Messenger Inc. guilty under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for the failure of an Internet information resource owner to delete information when such an obligation is prescribed by law, and imposed a fine of 3 million rubles." The company was facing a maximum fine of up to 4 million rubles.
