70 Buses Out of Service, 23 Involved in Accidents: Details on Public Transport
In Yerevan, 3,538 vehicles were operational on 67 bus routes, which is 399 fewer than the planned 3,937. This results in a shortfall of 10.1 percent. This information was revealed during a consultation at the Yerevan municipality.
Additionally, there have been 25 traffic accidents involving public transport, with one individual being hospitalized due to injuries. The cause was identified as the driver's sudden braking, which caused the passenger to fall and sustain fractures to their spine and shoulder.
It was also noted that last week there were 82 out-of-service vehicles and 28 that had been involved in accidents. This week, there are currently 70 out-of-service units and 23 vehicles that have been in accidents.
