27 Streets in Yerevan to be Asphalted; Pashinyan Lists Them
The government decided to reallocate funds in the amount of 3.017 billion drams during its meeting today, July 4. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan stated that 2.5 billion drams would be allocated for the medium repairs of streets in Yerevan. "This particularly concerns the Ajapnyak, Shengavit, Malatia-Sebastia, and Kentron administrative districts. Similar works are also planned in other administrative districts such as Kanaker-Zeytun, Avan, Arabkir, and Davitashen, all covered by Yerevan's budget. In total, this decision relates to around 27 streets," said Sanosyan.
The second part of the project pertains to the renovation program. This program is progressing quite actively, and the number of beneficiaries is higher than what we had budgeted for. We propose to transfer 517 million drams for these allocations, enabling us to execute distributions through banks. We initially planned for 8,000 beneficiaries, but we already have 13,000, and the program is being implemented at a fairly high pace," he added. He noted that this program primarily installs solar panels and water heaters.
