Israeli Government Receives Response from Hamas Regarding Hostages and Prepares Its Own Answer

The Israeli authorities have received a response regarding hostages from representatives of the Hamas movement through intermediaries. This was stated in a joint announcement from the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the MOSSAD intelligence agency.

"Israel assesses these comments and will convey its response to the intermediaries," the statement reads.

It was previously reported that Israeli forces killed more than 900 fighters and commanders of the Palestinian Hamas movement during an operation in Rafah, near the Gaza Strip and Egyptian border.
