Mother Dies, One Son in Intensive Care: Details of Tragic Car Accident

On July 2, a tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk region on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, resulting in one person dead at the scene and three others injured who were transported to a medical center. This is reported by Oragir.news.

According to the site's information, the injured are brothers and one is the wife of one of the brothers, while the deceased is their 70-year-old mother.

“They are residents of our village. R. Sargsyan and A. Sargsyan are brothers, and their mother, who is in her 70s, was with them in the car along with one brother's wife. They were on their way to Gavar for a funeral,” said the administrative head of Jrashen, Sargis Grigoryan, to the media.

One of the brothers has been discharged from the hospital, while the other brother has been diagnosed with a spinal fracture and has been admitted to the intensive care unit.

It is reported that on July 2, at around 08:40, in the administrative area of Abovyan along the Yerevan-Sevan highway, a Mercedes vehicle encountered a water hole formed by rainwater as it was heading towards Sevan, subsequently moved forward, collided with a protective concrete wall, and ended up in the roadway. As a result of the accident, one passenger died at the scene.
