Scientists Report Onset of Third Level Magnetic Storm

Scientists have reported a disturbance in the Earth's magnetic field on Friday, which has already reached a strong level. This was announced by the TASS news agency, citing the Space Weather Monitoring Center of the Institute of Applied Geophysics.

According to experts, the degree of disturbance in the Earth's magnetic field is currently experienced at level G3, which is assessed as "strong" on a monitoring scale consisting of five indicators, where G5 is "extremely strong" and G1 is "weak." Thus, a G3 level indicates that there may be issues with energy systems on Earth, including false alarms in security systems. Additionally, there may be "melting" of oil transformers.

In turn, interruptions in satellite and low-frequency radionavigation are likely, as well as disruptions in high-frequency radio communications. Auroras may be observed at mid-latitudes.

Just before this, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, announced that weak magnetic storms would be observed on the night of June 28-29. They are expected to cease by morning.
