First Case of Botulism Registered in Kyiv

The first case of botulism has been registered in Kyiv, likely related to the consumption of dried fish, reports the city’s main state consumer service.

“A case of botulism has been recorded in Kyiv, which is likely associated with the use of dried fish caviar,” says a statement published on the social media platform Facebook.

According to the agency, from June 27, state control measures have been initiated involving operators of the market distributing the aforementioned product, with sample selection for laboratory testing. An investigation is ongoing regarding the case.
