How Many Artsakh Residents Left Armenia by June?

As of June 1, a total of 17,743 individuals forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh have left Armenia through air and land routes, while 7,435 have returned. This means that as of June 1, a total of 10,308 Artsakh residents (those registered in Artsakh) have left Armenia and not returned. These figures were provided to CivilNet by Armenia's National Security Service (NSS).

Compared to May 1, the number of Artsakh registered individuals who have left Armenia has increased by 383.

On September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack against Artsakh, which lasted for one day and concluded with a ceasefire agreement on September 20. The following day, a meeting took place in Yevlakh, Azerbaijan, between representatives of Baku and Stepanakert to discuss "reintegration issues." On September 28, Artsakh’s President Samvel Shahramanian signed a decree to terminate the existence of the Republic of Artsakh as of January 1, 2024. The population of Artsakh has undergone forced displacement, with over 100,000 individuals moving from Artsakh to Armenia.
