Will Samvel Shahramanyan Be Arrested? - Hraparak
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: "In political circles, there are discussions that the president of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, may be arrested in the near future, as the aim of the recent 'car show' conducted against him is not only to subdue him and keep the residents of Artsakh off the streets but also to fulfill another demand from Aliyev.
On June 21, it should be noted, the Investigative Committee, along with special forces, broke down the gates of the Artsakh representative office and seized Shahramanyan's vehicle. A week ago, he declared that the residents of Artsakh have the right to participate in the movement.
Following a meeting with Bishop Bagrat, the mayors of Stepanakert, Askeran, and Martakert were also detained on fabricated charges of document forgery and theft of community property. Meanwhile, Aliyev has practically stated that he is confident that the Armenian authorities will rein in the 'revanchists': "I am confident that Armenia will never again try to carry out any military provocation against Azerbaijan, although there are quite a few revanchists. We are monitoring the latest developments and see that there are attempts to raise territorial claims against us once again."
