No Talk of Mass Layoffs in Military Commissariats, Says Defense Ministry Official
No talk of mass layoffs in military commissariats can exist, nor has there been such a thing. This was stated by Aren Sargsyan, the Acting Head of the Recruitment and Mobilization Division of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, in an interview with the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“Salary is a relative concept, and different people are satisfied or dissatisfied with different amounts. The fact that a person wants to have a higher-paying job is something we all share, not just in the military commissariat or in the public administration system. However, in the military commissariat, we have various positions, employees working under contracts, civil servants, and military personnel, and their salaries differ,” he said. “Just as military personnel can be certified, so can other employees participate in competitions to increase their salaries,” he added.
Sargsyan noted that digitization efforts are also underway in this field, and he hopes that this will reduce the physical workload of the employees.
