What the Court Employees' Strike is About: Judicial Department Clarifies

The strike being conducted by administrative court employees is related to demands for salary increases. This was stated in a press release by the Judicial Department of Armenia.

“The strike being conducted by administrative court employees is connected to the demand for salary increases. The judiciary has repeatedly raised this painful issue at various levels and through various means since 2023. The Judicial Department and other bodies of the judiciary have carried out all possible actions within their authority, and the matter remains in the spotlight of the appropriate state bodies. We hope that judicial service workers will continue their work with high responsibility, emphasizing the interests of justice, and in cases where it is not possible due to personal circumstances, they will carry out their services in better-paying sectors until a systematic solution to the salary issue is found,” the statement reads.
