Azerbaijan Settles 3,000 People in Occupied Stepanakert

Azerbaijan's authorities have announced that 3,000 people have already been settled in the occupied city of Stepanakert. According to APA, the information about the number of resettled "residents" was disclosed by Elchin Yusubov, the special representative of the Azerbaijani president in the occupied capital of Nagorno-Karabakh.

He noted that resettlement in Stepanakert and the surrounding areas will continue in the near future: “They are employees of state enterprises, people engaged in business. Currently, 43 facilities are operating in Khankendi (the Azerbaijani name for Stepanakert), employing 322 people. In the coming days, 37 more facilities are set to open. Following the establishment of a university in Karabakh, it is expected that the number of residents and the facilities will increase.”

It has been nine months since the complete occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh and the displacement of 120,000 Armenian residents.
