Serbia's President Calls to Prepare for Any Possible Scenarios and Deterioration of Situations
Serbia's President Aleksandar Vučić has called on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to prepare for any possible scenarios and ensure all necessary reserves, anticipating a deterioration in the security situation in Europe by the end of the year.
On Sunday, during a ceremony held in honor of the best employees at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vučić and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić presented awards.
“We live in a world where there is no security or stability, and it is not easy to foresee what will happen until the end of this year, let alone plan for the future. Therefore, we must think about our country and prepare well for every possible scenario, understanding well what is happening in the world, in Europe, and where Serbia fits into all of this,” Vučić stated to the attendees.
According to the Serbian leader, the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will become even more critical as citizens' safety is paramount. “Be ready for a more challenging period, not because Serbia is in a bad or difficult situation, on the contrary. Because I know what is going to happen in the world, I know that the situation will be much more severe here, so it is vital to ensure all available reserves and prepare for this period. No matter how difficult it gets in Europe and worldwide, every inch of Serbian soil must be secure,” Vučić emphasized.
Previously, the President of Serbia had expressed concerns that the conflict in Ukraine could escalate into a global armed confrontation as early as this fall due to the irreconcilable positions of the parties involved.
