Death Toll Rises Following Terror Attack in Dagestan
The death toll from the recent terror attack in Dagestan has risen to 9, with 7 of the victims being law enforcement officials. Additionally, 25 people have been reported injured, according to RIA Novosti.
Earlier reports indicated that armed assaults occurred on Sunday evening against two Orthodox churches, a synagogue, and a traffic police post in the cities of Derbent and Makhachkala. The Investigative Committee of Russia’s Dagestan has opened criminal cases under the article of "terrorist attack." Preliminary data suggest that the casualties include a priest from the Russian Orthodox Church and police officers.
