Unknown Individual Hits Three Citizens in Sevan Peninsula and Flees

On June 20, an incident of hitting pedestrians occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 19:20, an unknown individual in an unidentified vehicle struck three citizens: 13-year-old Nikolas Ulikhanyan, a Greek national, 60-year-old Anzhik Akulian, and 34-year-old Editha Tumanyan from Lori province.

According to Shamshyan, the injured were transported to the 'Sevan' medical center, while the driver fled the scene, leaving them helpless.

Authorities, including police and patrols, headed to Nairyan Street in Sevan city, where they found a severely damaged 'Toyota Camry'. It was confirmed that the operational information received was accurate, identifying the hit-and-run driver as 21-year-old Daniel Khanzadyan, a resident of Gegharkunik province. The vehicle and Khanzadyan were taken to the Sevan police department, after which he was presented to the Investigative Committee’s regional investigative department in Gegharkunik, where a criminal case was initiated on the matter.
