Bagrat Surbazan Explains Why They Are Going to Kiran
"There is no car rally; I wanted to go, meet the people, and understand the actual situation. This was stated today by Bagrat Surbazan, the leader of the 'Tavush for the Homeland' movement, during a conversation with journalists, explaining why they are going to Kiran.
"At the same time, let’s try to see where this so-called fence is – whether it is a fence, a boundary line, or barbed wire. Up to now, there are no videos or photos of it, so let’s go and see where it is located. We want to see it with our eyes and make sure. Anyway, it was said to be in Voskepar," he said.
In response to the observation that it was claimed the area is secure and that neither people nor animals can pass through, Bagrat Surbazan replied that they are not aware of that and are going to see what has been placed there.
Bagrat Surbazan noted that they will check the entire border to see whether there is a fence or not and, if time permits, they will also make a tour.
When asked if there is information regarding the presence of a police wall in Kiran and restrictions on the villagers' access, he mentioned that he has no information: "They said there aren’t any; we’ll see the rest. Maybe they will bring something special today."
