The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has arrived at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, where talks are scheduled with the leader of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, To Lam. Following an official welcoming ceremony in the square in front of the palace, the leaders will pose for a photograph, and Russian-Vietnamese negotiations will commence.
There will also be a ceremony for the exchange of signed documents, and the presidents will make statements for the press. Reports indicate that the presidents of Russia and Vietnam have already begun bilateral negotiations in Hanoi.
It is recalled that Putin has traveled to Vietnam for a two-day state visit, having arrived in Hanoi on June 19 after completing a visit to Pyongyang. The Russian president traveled to North Korea on June 18 to negotiate with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
