Ukraine's Future Lies in NATO, State Department Declares

The spokesperson for the State Department, Matthew Miller, has stated that Ukraine's future is in NATO. His remarks were quoted by RIA Novosti.

“Ukraine’s future is in NATO. It will become a NATO member. We have made this clear,” he said during a press briefing for the media.

Miller did not specify when this might happen. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin had stated on June 14 that there is no desire for NATO to expand in the near future.
