Russia Reports Fire at Oil Depot Due to Drone Attack

The reservoir at the Platon oil depot in the Tambov region has caught fire due to a drone attack, with no casualties reported, according to the regional governor. Earlier, authorities in Adygea reported a fire at the oil depot.

The Ministry of Defense has reported the destruction of 15 UAVs. According to Maxim Egorov, governor of the Tambov region, a fire occurred at the reservoir in the territory of the Platon oil depot, and there were no injured. "The incident is presumed to be caused by a UAV. The RSChS territorial subsystem forces, including units from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, are involved in eliminating the consequences," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

In the Pervomaysky municipal district, debris from a drone that "exploded in the air" was discovered, Egorov added. He stated that all measures for ensuring safety have been taken in the region.

This is the second report of such incidents this morning, as earlier, authorities in Adygea announced a fire at an oil depot. Governor Murat Kumpilov noted that the fire occurred in the Avan area and has been successfully extinguished, with no injuries.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 15 UAVs overnight: six over Adygea, three in the Bryansk region, three in the Krasnodar Territory, and one over Rostov, Belgorod, and Oryol regions. Authorities in Kursk, Belgorod, and Voronezh have announced the threat of drone attacks, while an air threat mode has been implemented in the Lipetsk region.
