Canadian Actor Donald Sutherland Passes Away at Age 88
Canadian actor Donald Sutherland has passed away at the age of 88 after a long illness. The news was confirmed by his son, Kiefer Sutherland.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my father, Donald Sutherland, has left this world. Personally, I consider him one of the greatest actors in the history of cinema. He never shied away from any role, whether good, bad, or complex. He loved his profession and did what he enjoyed. Life is worth living with dignity,” Kiefer Sutherland stated in his announcement.
Donald Sutherland gained fame for his roles in blockbuster films such as “The Hunger Games” and “The Dirty Dozen.” He became widely recognized for his portrayal of Dr. Hawkeye Pierce in the 1970 film “M*A*S*H.” Throughout his career, the actor appeared in nearly 200 films.
