Kim Jong Un Calls Russia His "Most Honest Friend and Ally"

Kim Jong Un has referred to Russia as his "most honest friend and ally." The leader of North Korea stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is the "dearest friend of the Korean people." During a press conference following the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea, Kim Jong Un made these remarks.

At an event attended by his "most honest friends and allies," Kim stated, "At this moment, when the whole world is closely watching Pyongyang, where a mission of friendship from Russia has arrived, I stand here with my Russian friends." He emphasized that the conclusion of a new "most powerful agreement" between Russia and North Korea would have been unimaginable without Putin’s determination as the "dearest friend of the Korean people" and his "superior foresight."
