Emergency Situation in Arinj: Drinking Water Unabatedly Flows and Floods an Entire Neighborhood

Today, on June 19, an emergency situation has arisen in Kotayk Province. In the second street of the Khachatour Abovyan neighborhood of the Arinj administrative district, residents report that due to a damaged drinking water pipe, the street has turned into a small Venice for several days now. This was reported by shamshyan.com.

According to a local photojournalist, the water is flowing at a height of 30 cm, and in some areas, up to 40-50 cm, while "Veolia Water" has not taken any action to resolve the issue thus far. Residents say that the street is flooded with drinking water, while the world is striving to conserve drinking water. However, here, due to the incorrect and unprofessional work of "Veolia Water," the drinking water is being wasted.

In conversations with the photojournalist, residents expressed that only Edward Babayan, the head of the consolidated community in Abovyan, responded to their calls. By his directive, the head of the Arinj administration has visited the site to assess the situation and promised to inform "Veolia Water" about the problem. Following the mayor's instructions, he assured that he would ensure that "Veolia Water" quickly restores the emergency situation.
