Over 1500 Illegal Migrants to Be Deported from Russia
Law enforcement officials have reported that during a week-long raid in the Moscow region, more than 5300 violations in the migration sector were halted, resulting in the deportation of over 1500 foreign nationals from Russia. This information was shared by the press service of the main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow region, as reported by the Interfax agency.
According to the statement, "As a result of the operations, 5348 administrative violations in the migration sector were prevented. The judiciary has made over 1500 decisions on the administrative deportation of foreign citizens from Russia."
Police data indicates that the first phase of the operation "Illegal - 2024" took place in the Moscow region from June 3 to June 9. During this period, over 3200 administrative protocols were drafted for violations of the residence regime in Russia, and more than 800 protocols were issued for illegal employment activities.
Reports state that over 500 administrative protocols were drawn up against employers for illegally hiring foreign citizens. Additionally, 23 criminal cases have been initiated for illegal drug trafficking and another 19 cases for offenses committed by foreign nationals.
