More Than 30 Houses and Over 10 Cars Damaged by Egg-Sized Hail, Says Privolnoye Village Mayor

In the Privolnoye village of the Lori region, over 30 houses and more than 10 cars were damaged due to hail that fell on June 16. This was reported today, June 18, in an interview with NEWS.am by the village's administrative head, Emil Grigoryan, who noted that these figures only refer to significant damages.

According to the mayor, the egg-sized hail fell intermittently for nearly two hours. Speaking about the agricultural impact of the hail, he mentioned, "There are no large orchards in the village, but the produce from household gardens has been damaged. We had wheat fields that were affected by the hail, but we have not yet managed to assess the extent of the damage. Today, we are still touring the village to familiarize ourselves with the damages. We have come to the municipal office to see what will happen next."

Emil Grigoryan also stated that there is no anti-hail station in the village. "The fields are not that large, which is why there is no station," he explained.
