Two Different Families Lived in the Burned House in Amrakitz Village, Administrative Head Provides Details
This night, a residential house was burned in Amrakitz village of Lori province, where two families resided. This was reported today, June 17, in an interview with NEWS.am by the administrative head of Amrakitz village, Martin Alaverdyan.
“In one of the houses, there lived a single woman, aged around 60-63. After the fire, the neighbors took her to their home, but one of her brothers lives in our village, I believe she will be relocated to his house. In the other house, there lived a man aged 35. He had come for a few days from Yerevan, while his family resides in Yerevan. After the fire, we contacted his relatives, and his mother and brother came and took him to the city,” the village mayor explained.
“The fire was noticed by the neighbors; it had erupted in the section of the young man's house. The neighbors came, awakened the house owner from sleep, and brought her out into the street. They then tried to enter the young man's house, thinking he was asleep too; however, the fire had already spread, and they could not get inside. It was only after extinguishing the fire in the morning that it became clear he was not home,” added Martin Alaverdyan.
