Crimean Bridge No Longer Holds Military Significance, Says Ukrainian Naval Spokesperson
The spokesperson for Ukraine's Naval Forces, Dmytro Pletenchuk, has stated that the Crimean Bridge no longer holds military significance and that its destruction is pointless. "It is used for military logistics for less than a quarter of the total cargo that passes through it," the spokesperson said.
Pletenchuk believes that the bridge no longer has tactical-strategic importance due to the damage it has sustained from a joint operation by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Naval Forces, which involved drone attacks. At the end of May, the Security Service of Ukraine had once again threatened to strike the Crimean Bridge, labeling it as one of their priority targets. The special service insisted that they had attacked the bridge twice already, including using maritime drones.
