Biden's Campaign Labels Trump a Criminal in Election Ads

The campaign team of U.S. President Joe Biden has released a campaign advertisement that openly labels former President Donald Trump a criminal. Earlier, a grand jury issued an indictment against Trump regarding all 34 charges pertaining to business document falsification. The political figure has the right to appeal this decision, and it does not prevent him from participating in the presidential elections.

“This is a choice between a convicted criminal who only cares about himself, and a president who fights for your families,” states the campaign video published on Biden's official YouTube channel.

According to the Washington Post, Biden’s campaign plans to spend $50 million on advertising in June. From the start of the campaign until June 16, nearly $67 million has already been spent to promote Biden’s candidacy.

CNN has reported that the first debate between Trump and Biden will take place on June 27. The U.S. presidential elections are scheduled for November 5, 2024. The main contenders in the race are the sitting Democrat President Biden and the former Republican leader Trump. Both candidates have already gathered enough delegate votes from their parties' primaries, while nearly all of their competitors have announced their withdrawal from the race.
