Inmates taking hostages in a penitentiary in Rostov-on-Don have been eliminated. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Employees of the Rostov penitentiary have been released and are unharmed. According to the Telegram channel 'Shot,' 2 hostages have been freed, 2 out of 6 suspects were killed, and there are also reported injuries.

Earlier, it was reported that suspects in the Rostov investigative prison had taken two staff members hostage. Negotiations for the release of the hostages were ongoing. Gunfire was also reported.
