Saint Trinity Church in Kyirants Village to Be Restored
The government allocated approximately 66 million AMD during its session on June 14 for the restoration work of the Saint Trinity Church in the village of Kyirants, Tavush Province.
The justification for the decision states that the 19th-century Saint Trinity Church in Kyirants has recently acquired the status of a local significance monument. During Soviet times, it was used as a warehouse for an extended period, and now the church's roof is completely destroyed. There are cracks in some sections of the walls, the floor tiles are demolished, and there is a need for landscaping the church's premises.
Due to Soviet-era interventions, some entrances and windows of the church have been blocked, along with other alterations that are planned to be removed under the restoration project. This decision also includes allocating funds for the restoration of the church and the installation of a bell tower-rotunda.
It is noteworthy that as a result of adopting the decision project, the Saint Trinity Church in the village of Kyirants, Tavush Province will be restored, and a bell tower-rotunda will be installed.
