Railway Operations May Begin Sooner
Recovery work on the railway in the flood-affected areas of northern Armenia is progressing well, and operations may begin earlier than expected. During a government meeting, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan provided details about the restoration efforts in the affected communities.
“Since June 5, the railway has been operational up to the ‘Ayrum’ station, but in the coming days, it will be possible to fully utilize it, albeit with certain restrictions,” noted Sanosyan.
According to the minister, about 95-98% of the supply of basic services, including gas, water, and electricity, has been restored in the impacted communities.
