Currently, 10 Arrests Reported in Vayots Dzor - Ishkhan Saghatelyan

Yesterday, an audio recording circulated on the internet, the source of which remains unclear, prompting the investigative bodies to open a criminal case. Since this morning, searches have begun in the offices of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation in Vayk and Yeghgnadzor. This was stated by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a member of the ARF Bureau, during a conversation with reporters.

“Around 10 of our members from Vayots Dzor have been arrested. I can say that people have been kidnapped; we are finding it very difficult to learn their whereabouts, and even the lawyers cannot seem to find out, as they are trying to extract some confessions without understanding who they are dealing with. We are not even being informed about which police stations our abducted friends are held in,” Saghatelyan said.

According to him, their deputies are currently in the region, trying to clarify the situation, but they are continuously facing obstacles for both lawmakers and lawyers. “It is obvious that the party is being targeted, and attempts are being made to pressure it through fabricated cases, but this does not affect the ARF; this is neither the last nor the first time,” Saghatelyan emphasized.
