Attempt on Life with the Blessing of the Catholicos: Arthur Hovhannisyan

I expect there will be questions about how it happened that such an attack was made on Armenia's statehood with the blessing of the Catholicos in the newly independent history of Armenia. This was stated by the Secretary of the My Step alliance, Arthur Hovhannisyan, during a briefing in the National Assembly.

"Tell me, Catholicos, you have blessed the movement led by Bagrat, which clearly planned an attack on the National Assembly and state institutions, trying to find and attempt an assassination on state officials—with the blessing of the Catholicos," he said.

According to the faction secretary, provocation was carried out from within, heating up the public outside. "Outside, Bagrat started running at the police like Batman. Bagrat says, 'Dear policemen, take off your helmets,' and then he throws a stone at a police officer's head," he added.

When asked if it was Bishop Bagrat who threw the stone, he confirmed, saying, "Yes, it is Bagrat, Batman Bagrat."
