The Mayor of Tegh is Awarding 378 Million Drams in Contracts to His Brother's Company

The news outlet Hetq reports that in February 2024, procurement was conducted for the renovation of the roof of the club in the Khndzakh community of the Tegh municipality. Only one organization, 'Sasun Ghulunts Aramayis' LLC, submitted a bid. Sasun Ghulunts is the brother of Tegh Mayor Davit Ghulunts. The total amount of the contract was 12 million 335 thousand drams.

In addition to this LLC, Sasun Ghulunts also owns 'As Shin 80' LLC. He is also the director of 'Energes' LLC, of which 34% of the shares belong to his daughter, Shahana Ghulunts, and 33% belong to Davit Ghulunts's daughter, Diana Ghulunts. These two companies were established in 2021. According to the data from the State Revenue Committee, 'As Shin 80' LLC is engaged in the extraction of sand and gravel, while 'Energes' LLC operates the 'Sisakan-1' small hydroelectric power station.

This year, Sasun Ghulunts has signed another contract with the municipality. The contract was signed for the construction of the internal irrigation network of the Tegh community in Tegh village. This time the procurement was conducted through an open competition, but there was only one participant—the 'Sasun Ghulunts Aramayis' LLC. The total amount of this contract was 284 million 848 thousand drams. Last year, the Tegh municipality also signed contracts with Sasun Ghulunts. In November 2023, for the construction works of the irrigation internal network pump station in Tegh village, the municipality paid his brother 7 million 749 thousand drams.
