Government Clarifies Article on 'Prime Minister's Office Buying Bullets from Hunting Store'
The information presented in the June 13, 2024 article of the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper, titled 'Prime Minister's Office Buying Bullets from Hunting Store,' does not correspond to reality. In this regard, the Government finds it necessary to clarify the following:
According to the decision No. 2242-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated December 9, 2005, the type, form, model, and quantity of weapons allocated to the state inspector of the Environmental and Mineral Inspection body, as well as the list of positions entitled to carry weapons, have been established, according to the annex.
Based on this, a procedure for the acquisition of cartridges (bullets) under the code VABT-GHAPD-24/30 has been organized by the Prime Minister's Office for the needs of the inspection body. It is noteworthy that the purchase was conducted in a public competitive manner, which ensures full transparency of the documentation of the process.
Furthermore, we find it necessary to inform that according to the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, the goods, works, and services necessary for the provision of military equipment, armaments, military ammunition, and means of military technical provision are subject to the procurement procedures.
