Erdogan Appeals to the US and Western Countries

The United States and Western countries must pressure Israel to implement the United Nations Security Council resolution on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after negotiations with Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, as reported by TRT Haber.

Erdogan expressed hope that Israel would refrain from attacks in the Gaza Strip and reach an agreement that would ensure sustainable peace in the region. He emphasized that Turkey would closely monitor the implementation of the resolution.

On the morning of June 13, the Palestinian Hamas radical movement announced that it has positively responded to the recent proposal regarding a ceasefire and the release of hostages made by US President Joe Biden.

On June 12, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that Hamas's response to Washington's ceasefire proposal included changes.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg reported that leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) countries will call on Hamas to accept the ceasefire agreement with Israel.
