There is not a single police officer serving Nikol Pashinyan in Armenia; police officers serve the Republic of Armenia. This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a session of the National Assembly.
Pashinyan was addressing Artsvik Minasyan and mentioned that before coming to power, he too had experienced blows from police forces.
“Mr. Minasyan, you cannot even imagine how many police blows I have received. After assuming the office of Prime Minister, I have not pursued any cases because I believed that the police were doing their job,” he said.
In conclusion, he added that in Armenia, the police serve not him, but the Republic of Armenia.
