Russian Ambassador Kopirkin Returns to Yerevan
The Ambassador of Russia to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, who was previously summoned to Moscow for consultations, has returned to Yerevan, Mikhail Galuzin, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, told RIA Novosti.
In late May, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the recall of the Russian ambassador from Yerevan for consultations. “Sergey Pavlovich participated in the consultations and, as far as I know, he is already in Yerevan,” Mikhail Galuzin stated during a high-level meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State.
He emphasized that “the recall of the ambassador for consultations is an absolute standard procedure that is applied quite frequently.”
