Malawi Vice President’s Plane Disappears from Radar
The plane transporting Malawi's Vice President Saulos Chilima has vanished from radar shortly after taking off from Lilongwe. This was reported by the BBC, citing a statement from the presidential office.
It is noted that there are nine other people on board the aircraft. According to the media, the plane took off from the capital's airport at 09:17 and was scheduled to land at Mzuzu Airport in the north of the country at 10:02, but disappeared from radar.
Dispatchers have not been able to establish contact with the aircraft's crew. Currently, search and rescue operations are ongoing.
