France Is 'Not at War with Russia,' Says Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron asserts that the Republic is 'not at war with Russia' and is striving to 'control the escalation.' He made this statement during a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky.
"We are not in a state of war with Russia; we want to control the escalation," Macron's words are quoted by Le Figaro.
At the same time, he announced the day before that France would transfer upgraded Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets to Ukraine. "The country will immediately begin training Ukrainian pilots," noted the French president.
